General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Service.
Version in effect as of October 17, 2026.
This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails, in accordance with Québec's Charter of the French Language.
These terms apply to all Alpha Solutions services: sale of containers ready for resale, custom containers, wholesale, vehicle shipping and parcel shipping. The parcel shipping terms supplement this text. In the event of a conflict, your written contract prevails.
1. Purpose
Alpha Solutions (NEQ 2280968464) acts as a commercial intermediary between Canada and West Africa: it purchases goods in Canada, from individuals, retailers or its partners, and resells them in its own name to its clients, who receive them in Conakry (Guinea), Dakar (Senegal) or Bamako (Mali). Final preparation, loading and shipping are entrusted to partner export companies. For parcels and vehicles that already belong to the client, Alpha Solutions provides a transport service.
2. Quote and contract
No prices are displayed on the website. Every order begins with a written quote that sets out: the goods, the price, what is included (purchase, loading, freight, delivery to the port or warehouse), what is not included, the deposit, the estimated timelines and the period for which the offer remains valid.
The order is confirmed when the client accepts the quote in writing (including by WhatsApp) and pays the deposit. A request sent through the website does not constitute an order.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are expressed in Canadian dollars (CAD), unless otherwise stated. The deposit initiates the purchases; the balance is payable before shipment, as set out in the quote.
Payments are made only from the client area. The client signs in to their client area and chooses, in a file linked to their account, one of the four accepted methods:
- online card payment, when available, on the secure page of our payment provider Clover: Alpha Solutions never sees or stores the card number;
- Interac e-Transfer;
- bank wire transfer;
- payment terminal in person, in Montréal, by appointment.
The instructions specific to each file (amount, quote code to include, transfer details) are displayed in the client area. The quote code must accompany each transfer. An order is processed only once payment is confirmed: confirmation is automatic for online card payments and, for transfers, is given upon actual receipt of the funds. A receipt is issued for each confirmed payment; it is sent to the client and remains available in their client area. Alpha Solutions does not accept cash payments.
Payments are made only to the details stated in the contract. Alpha Solutions never requests payment to a personal account not stated in the contract. Alpha Solutions never carries out money transfers on behalf of a third party: amounts received are used exclusively to pay for the goods and services ordered.
4. Purchases and goods
Used goods are sold in the condition described in the inventory, with photos where possible. The client acknowledges that used items may show normal signs of wear. The brands, quantities and specifications are those stated in the signed inventory.
The client warrants that any goods the client supplies are of lawful origin and are accurately described. Alpha Solutions may refuse any goods that are prohibited, dangerous or of doubtful origin.
5. Transport and timelines
Timelines are estimates. Delays caused by shipping lines, ports, customs inspections, weather conditions, strikes or any event of force majeure are not attributable to Alpha Solutions. The client is informed of any known delay.
Delivery takes place at the port of Conakry or Dakar, or at the warehouse in Bamako, unless another location is specified in the quote. Storage or demurrage charges may apply if the goods are not collected within the stated time.
6. Customs, duties and taxes
The export declarations required by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) are filed by Alpha Solutions, directly or through its partner exporters: a declaration in the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) at least 48 hours before loading for goods worth $2,000 or more, and always for a vehicle, with its vehicle identification number (VIN). Unless otherwise stated, customs duties, taxes, port charges and customs clearance fees in the destination country are the responsibility of the consignee. The client provides the information and documents required for importation. In Canada, export sales and transport abroad are zero-rated: no GST or QST is charged, as long as the goods leave Canada.
7. Vehicles
A vehicle is accepted only with proof of purchase, official documents (vehicle registration certificate or ownership title, and the owner's identification), confirmation that it is free of any debt or lien, and a verified vehicle identification number (VIN). Alpha Solutions may refuse or hold a vehicle if a document is missing or appears irregular. The client is responsible for verifying that the vehicle complies with the import rules of the destination country.
8. Liability and insurance
Cargo insurance may be added to the quote. Without insurance, Alpha Solutions' liability for loss or damage occurring during ocean transport is limited to the liability accepted by the carrier under the applicable international conventions, and does not cover normal wear of used items or packaging supplied by the client.
Nothing herein limits the rights granted to consumers under the Québec Consumer Protection Act.
9. Cancellation
The client may cancel before the goods are purchased: the deposit is then refunded, less any costs already incurred and substantiated. After purchase or loading, amounts committed are not refundable, except in the case of fault on the part of Alpha Solutions. The specific terms are set out in the contract.
10. Claims
Any claim (missing, damaged or nonconforming item) must be made in writing within 7 days of handover, with photos and the container or parcel reference. Alpha Solutions responds within a reasonable time and seeks an amicable solution.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Québec, subject to consumer rights.
